PAE Launches San Francisco Office
August 19, 2010 – PAE Consulting Engineers today announced its launch of a San Francisco, Calif. office, the first satellite branch in the firm’s 43-year history.
PAE’s board of directors named Michael Lucas, PE, a company principal, along with Lou Galiano as company-wide Chief Marketing Officer and Marco Alves as a senior mechanical engineer. They all come to PAE with deep roots in the Bay Area’s architecture and engineering community.
“Mike, Lou and Marco’s vision and values so clearly reflected our own: a serious passion for sustainable design, proven experience to back it up, and an employee-focused culture” said PAE president, Paul Schwer. “That was a crucial factor in our decision to join forces with them in creating a new PAE branch office.”
PAE is recruiting senior and mid level mechanical and electrical engineers, and expect PAE’s San Francisco office to grow steadily over the coming year.

For Mike Lucas, Lou Galiano and Marco Alves, sustainability isn't a "buzz word", it's both a commitment and the focus of their professional lives. PAE Principal Michael Lucas, PE, is experienced in a wide range of projects including data centers, libraries, universities, hospitals, and convention centers. He has been honored with awards for energy conservation design by The American Institute of Architects, the US Environmental Protection Agency, and ASHRAE. Mike has more than 20 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
In addition to now being PAE's Chief Marketing Officer, Lou Galiano has 18 years experience in marketing and business development for design and construction management firms focused on sustainable design in the education, commercial, health care, high technology, biotechnology, and public markets. Lou serves on the Executive Leadership team for CoreNet Global and is active in numerous professional organizations including SMPS, IFMA, AIA, SCUP and USGBC.
Marco Alves, PE, LEED AP, will head up PAE San Francisco's Sustainable Design Group. A talented, highly accomplished mechanical engineer with expertise in designing with unique, cutting edge technologies, Marco has significant experience with geothermal, fuel cell, solar, wind, enthalpy wheel energy recovery and passive ventilation systems.
