Judging the Nation’s Top Green Buildings
March 5, 2012 — PAE President Paul Schwer is engaged in selecting the nation’s top green buildings as a juror for the AIA (American Institute of Architects) Committee on the Environment (COTE) 2012 Top Ten Awards.
Selected among six green building experts from across the nation, Paul will cast his vote for winning entries submitted by design firms large and small. Judging criteria is based on demonstrated accomplishment in environmentally sustainable design, and focuses on ten measures that range from innovation to bioclimatic design to simulated energy performance.
A leader in the Northwest green building community, Paul provided building system design for one of AIA’s 2011 Top Ten Winners – the LOTT Clean Water Alliance Administration and Education building. The project was designed by the Miller Hull Partnership and received a LEED Platinum rating in 2011.
