Luma is the architectural lighting design division of PAE Consulting Engineers. As independent architectural lighting designers we collaborate with our clients to first clarify then realize a common vision through light. We listen and probe. We question and clarify, exploring all of the options. We then use light to organize and reinforce the architectural vision.
Understanding the nature of light; Integrating the light of Nature
While design gets our creative juices flowing, sustainability is in our DNA. We’ve designed bright and comfortable office space at less than half the code allowed lighting power density. Our daylighting studies accurately predict both visual and numerical daylighting results. We integrate control strategies to balance daylight and electric light for seamless transitions from daylight to darkness.
