PAE’s Experience – LEED and Beyond

Sustainable design is a long-standing PAE focus. Our firm has performed energy and life cycle cost analyses since the 1980s, and we've designed geothermal and other renewable energy systems for many years. So when the U.S. Green Building Council developed LEED, we viewed it as an extension of the work we already were doing.

Since USGBC developed the LEED framework, PAE has provided expertise for more than 50 LEED rated or registered projects, from university laboratory and classroom buildings to court houses and office buildings, even a winery.

In fact, we now often find ourselves working to achieve levels of sustainability more demanding than the highest levels of LEED -- net zero energy, net zero water, carbon neutral.
