Rachel is a mechanical engineer at PAE with over a decade of experience and a leading voice on MEP embodied carbon and emissions. She is passionate about advancing strategies that address the often-overlooked climate impacts of building systems, from embodied carbon in materials to refrigerant leakage in HVAC. Rachel was a key player in PAE becoming a signatory of the MEP 2040 Challenge and continues to help guide the firm’s efforts toward achieving net-zero embodied and operational carbon. Her expertise spans educational, commercial, multifamily, and historic projects, where she integrates passive design strategies, Net-Zero Energy, Living Buildings, and healthy materials. Rachel partners with clients to translate these innovations into resilient, low-carbon solutions that improve building performance and support long-term sustainability goals.
