The PAE Solar Equity Grant
Accessible solar for meaningful impact
Nonprofits are often on the front lines of serving their communities, yet they face rising energy costs and limited access to capital for sustainability upgrades. To help close that gap, PAE is launching the PAE Solar Equity Grant, an annual grant supporting 501(c)(3) organizations pursuing clean, resilient energy solutions.
The PAE Solar Equity Grant is intended to help nonprofits reduce long-term operational energy costs with on-site renewable energy. We aim to make solar accessible to the organizations that create meaningful impact in the communities we serve.
We are accepting proposals for solar photovoltaic (PV) projects, with the option to include battery storage. Selected applicants may receive up to $150,000 in funding, along with technical guidance from PAE engineers during early project development.

Off-Grid Solar for Bompaso Community Center in Ghana
In Bompaso, Ghana, local leaders envisioned a space for education, healthcare, and economic opportunity. But to realize that vision, they needed reliable energy. Through the first donation from PAE’s Solar Equity Grant, we partnered with Twende Solar and PACE Ghana to fund and implement an off-grid solar system for the new Bompaso Community Center. This center will include a library, meeting space, medical clinic, and small business hub, all serving 600 residents who currently live without electricity. Scheduled for installation in early 2026, the 10 kW solar system with battery storage will provide Bompaso with its first reliable source of power.
