Local community care in a high-performance, all-electric hospital.
The greenfield hospital in Moses Lake, Washington, supports a rapidly growing population by offering state-of-the-art design and vital services to Eastern Washington. The project includes a full suite of hospital services: emergency department, diagnostic imaging, lab and compounding pharmacy, administrative spaces, a commercial kitchen, dining areas, fitness spaces, physical therapy rooms, labor and delivery, a surgical suite and central sterile, post-anesthesia care units, and an infusion clinic for cancer treatments.
Special Features
Uniquely, the hospital is all-electric for everything except food preparation and generator backup.
Heat recovery technology minimizes waste heat from hospital processes. The energy efficient design implements a heat recovery heat pump to capture and reuse energy from processes like sterilization, IT cooling, food preparation, and domestic water heating.
